The next morning, embark on an early game drive for a chance to spot predators and other wildlife at sunrise before returning to Victoria Falls.
Pick-up from your hotel around 0800hrs and transfer to Hwange National park. The drive is approximately 4 hours. Arrive at the lodge, check in and freshen up.
Afternoon:
After lunch, head out on your first game drive, the park is renowned for its large elephant herds, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, and predators like lion, leopard and painted dogs.
Stop at a waterhole hide for sundowners — Hwange’s waterholes attract huge concentrations of wildlife, especially in the dry season.
Optional night drive (if the lodge offers it) to spot nocturnal species such as hyenas, owls, genets, and civets
Overnight: Hwange Safari Lodge.
Depart on an early morning game drive – best time to find predators returning from a night’s hunt and to catch herds gathering at waterholes.
Spot elephants, antelopes, wildebeest and possibly cheetah or wild dogs.
Late Morning:
Return to camp for a hearty breakfast.
Relax at the lodge or visit a nearby hide for some last wildlife viewing.
Midday:
Depart Hwange and return transfer to Victoria Falls, arriving by late afternoon
